December 22, 2015 (340B Health) – 340B critics are building momentum on Capitol Hill and 2016 will be a challenging year with potential for harmful changes to the program. Much of the focus over the past year has been on Medicare Part B reimbursement to 340B hospitals with reports by the Government Accountability Office and the Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General. MedPAC, the commission that advises Congress on Medicare, is considering recommending reimbursement cuts that would undermine your efforts to serve our most vulnerable.
Meanwhile, the drug industry and their allies continue their aggressive efforts to mischaracterize the 340B program.  Congressional hearings and harmful legislation could be on the table again in 2016.
Please join us January 20 to get up-to-date information on what’s in store for the coming year, the best strategies for engaging lawmakers to become 340B champions, and specific opportunities to work together to safeguard 340B.
