340B Drug Discount Program
340B is a longstanding drug pricing program that was expanded to include critical access hospitals (CAH) through the Affordable Care Act of 2010. Additionally, children’s hospitals, cancer centers, sole community and rural referral centers can participate in the program. The 340B program provides an unprecedented opportunity for covered entities (CE) to save on outpatient drugs and create a new revenue stream through contract pharmacies (CP).
